Adele has reached out to Kiwi fans post the earthquakes.

The chart-topping UK pop star today confirmed widespread rumours that she'd be visiting Australia in 2017 for the first time, playing shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.

In a message posted on Twitter and Facebook, she wrote: "Yep, I am coming down under! In the round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums to make sure I get to see as many of you as possible."

On Facebook, Adele said she was "thinking of you, New Zealand" after yesterday's dramatic earthquake, and told her fans to "stay tuned".

Adele's second album 25 has been one of the year's most popular records, thanks to hits like Hello and Send My Love (To Your New Lover).
