Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Big Bang star Jim Parsons has officially made science geeks cool.

The actor, who plays Sheldon Cooper in the hit TV series, has been honoured with his very own star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

He might be one of the best known TV characters in the world but speaking at the ceremony, the overwhelmed actor wasn’t taking much credit for his success, saying  'I had the chance to play this incredible character that I neither created nor write for nor put into a series, 'That credit goes to Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and Steven Molaro.'

Joining Jim for his big day were his Big Bang Theory co stars Kaley Cuoco Sweeting, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch, Simon Helberg and Johnny Galecki,

Also showing their support for the comic actor was his boyfriend Todd Spiewak and his mother Judy Parsons who couldn’t have been prouder at the big bang her little boy is having on Hollywood.
