The Foo Fighters have cancelled their sold-out charity gig in Auckland.
A truck carrying the band's personal gear rolled yesterday afternoon, while travelling to Auckland from Christchurch.
"We don't know quite what damage has been done. With electrical equipment if it gets banged around it can run good or bad and this is the start of an Australasian tour so we have to make sure it's ok."
Brent Eccles of Frontier Touring says the equipment is so badly damaged, they've had no option but to cancel tonight's charity concert at the Auckland Town Hall.
The gig was supposed to raise funds for the New Zealand Music Foundation.
"We're all really sorry but the Foo Fighters are making a donation to the New Zealand Music Foundation regardless."
Replacement equipment's being flown in from Los Angeles in time for tomorrow's show at Mount Smart.
The truck driver was airlifted to hospital, although he's expected to be ok.
The band says its thoughts are with their crew member for a full recovery.
People who bought tickets for the tonight's Town Hall show will receive a full refund.
