Paul Simon is set to make is "farewell performance" closing a British summer festival in Hyde Park on the 15th of July.

His performance will include special performances from James Taylor & His-Star Band and Bonnie Raitt, with more guests to be announced. The show wraps a festival that includes Roger Waters, The Cure, Eric Clapton, Michael Buble and Bruno Mars.

The 74-year-old musician released his 13h studio album, Stranger To Stranger in 2016 when he hinted to the New York Times that he would possibly be wrapping up his musical career.

“It’s an act of courage to let go,” he told the paper. “I am going to see what happens if I let go. Then I’m going to see, who am I? Or am I just this person that was defined by what I did? And if that’s gone, if you have to make up yourself, who are you?”

In March last year, Paul announced his tour of the US which wraps up in June before this July 'Farewell Performance'.
