When your Father is Phil Collins, you're bound to reap some benefits from his musical talents.

And Phil's daughter Lily really did, as he wrote his Oscar-winning soundtrack, 'You'll Be in My Heart', as a lullaby for her bedtime.

The actress told Harry Connick Jr. on his talk show this week that one of her father's most recognizable songs was originally written as a lullaby for her.

”‘You’ll Be in My Heart,’ from Tarzan,” she revealed, adding, “We grew up watching Disney shows and movies together, so that was his way of kind of being able to do it for his kids. It was so special.”

The talented musician composed the soundtrack to the 1999 Disney animated film, which went on to win a Grammy for best soundtrack album. And that lullaby nabbed the Oscar for Best Original Song, as well as the Golden Globe for the same honor.

27-year-old Lily, whose mother is Phil’s ex Jill Tavelman, has now become a star in her own right as an actress, but did tell the talk show host that it was strange to have a famous father as a child.

“It’s a weird thing to have your dad or your parent be on the stage with a million people saying their name and you’re like, ‘No, that’s just dad,’ ” Lily said. “But I started to get used to, that person was Phil and then when we were home, that was dad.”
