She has been staying with her boyfriend Prince Harry in his home of Kensington Palace and it seems that Meghan Markle is already making a good impression on the in-laws.

The Prince's sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge is reported to be "thrilled" over the couple's new romance.

Woman's Day claim a royal source told them that: "Kate is thrilled that Harry has finally found a girlfriend who looks like being a keeper".

They added: "She only wants the very best for her lovely brother-in-law - and Meghan looks like she fits the bill."

In their report the magazine also claims that the Duchess is doing "all she can to support Meghan" as she eases into her royal relationship.

However, the palace is yet to make any official comment on the Duchess's relationship with the actress. MailOnline has contacted the Kensington Palace for a comment.

Prince William and Kate may have spent time with Harry and Meghan over the past weekend as they visited the capital for Remembrance Day events.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who live in Norfolk, take up residence in their former home of Kensington Palace while visiting London.

Prince Charles was also in London over the weekend after flying back from Bahrain with his wife Camilla.

And, unusually, the Queen and Prince Philip will also be in the city for the next few days too. That means Harry could take the opportunity to introduce his girlfriend to his entire family.

Meghan was pictured enjoying the local area on Thursday last week when she was seen returning from a shopping expedition at Whole Foods on High Street Kensington - a short walk from the palace.

The royal romance was revealed a fortnight ago after they were given away by matching friendship bracelets both have worn for months.

The palace officially announced that the pair had been in a relationship "for months" in a statement from the Prince last week.

In his strongly worded statement Harry accused the media of intrusion and lashed out at the "sexism and racism of social media trolls". His message, via his communications secretary Jason Knauf, was that their relationship "is not a game - it is her life and his".
