Babe, baby, or even bae — pet names usually start with a "B," and it turns out the Royal Family isn't immune to the cutesy habit either.

At the Chelsea Flower Show this week, Kate casually revealed her hubby's nickname to some eavesdropping landscapers, and it's super adorable. Prince William asked his wife if she knew of one of the flowers, and the Duchess reportedly replied: "Babe, we've got those. We've got loads of those."

As for Will's nickname for Kate, he uses several. After reporters illegally hacked into his voicemail several years ago, the world listened to the doting beau call his then-girlfriend both "baby" and "babykins."

Prince William has since moved on to a little more formal name, referring to Kate as "darling" during their joint appearance at the Flower Show. If your heart hasn't melted yet, just imagine him saying it in that British accent.

For her debut at the annual Chelsea Flower Show, Kate also paid a touching tribute to Princess Diana, wearing a vibrant green Catherine Walker dress for the occasion. It’s a special choice as Catherine Walker was the late Princess Diana's favourite designer.

Additionally, the royal pair took a look at a new flower that was named after their daughter, Princess Charlotte. It’s called the “Princess Charlotte chrysanthemum,” and it is pink with green tips.

Naming plants after the British Royal Family is a long-standing tradition, with a daffodil named for Prince George and a striking pink Clematis paying tribute to Princess Diana.
