Young Han Solo Revealed

The actor named to play Han Solo has been revealed as the first to audition for the role.

Hail, Caesar! star Alden Ehrenreich will play the Star Wars character in an upcoming spin off, The Independent reported.

Ehrenreich confirmed the news at the Star Wars Celebration in London over the weekend, saying he auditioned for the part alongside Chewbacca inside the Millennium Falcoln.

Directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord said 3000 actors auditioned for the part, but Ehrenreich was the first, The Independent reported.

The Han Solo origins movie is slated for a 2018 release.
