Is Meghan a copy-cat?

With her relationship with Prince Harry growing more serious by the day, Meghan Markle is believed to have forged a close friendship with the Duchess of Cambridge.

And it seems Kate and Meghan have more in common than just a penchant for royals, as eagle-eyed style watchers have noted that the pair already own identical designer dresses.

Meghan, 36, donned a Diane von Furstenberg 'Zarita' dress for a 2012 USA Network event in Hollywood, showcasing her sensational figure in the figure-hugging navy number.

And Kate, 35, stepped out in the same design on Tuesday night for a charity gala at Kensington Palace, opting for the floor-length black version.

The Duchess, who is expecting her third child in April, first stepped out in the same frock three years ago, for a Royal Variety performance at the London Palladium.

It's not the same time the pair have worn strikingly similar outfits; Meghan owns a slinky blue cocktail dress that's strikingly similar to Kate's 2010 Issa engagement dress.

And the Suits star wore a plunging scarlet prom dress for a recent appearance on the Today show, apparently channelling Kate's Preen dress she wore for a gala dinner in Toronto last year.
