Firearms Emergency: Woman Found Dead In Seacliff House

Police say a woman has been found dead at a house in Seacliff after responding to a firearms incident in the small settlement near Dunedin.
A man was also critically injured and taken to Dunedin Hospital.
Armed police and emergency services were called to the scene this morning.
Police said there appeared to have been a firearm involved "and as such police acted accordingly".
It is understood the man, taken from a reserve in Russell Rd, had firearm wounds.
A number of cordons are in place, including at Russell Rd and Kilgour Rd.
St John communications adviser Ian Henderson confirmed that one person had been taken to Dunedin Hospital.
He said St John were alerted to the incident at 8.18am and sent an ambulance, the Otago Rescue Helicopter and the fire service as co-response.
A resident at the scene said the matter involved a dispute.
An investigation has begun.
