Could a Fleetwood Mac reunion be on the cards?

Long-time fans of the band were sent into a frenzy this week after Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham shared matching posts to social media, hinting at a possible thaw in their famously frosty relationship.

Stevie shared a handwritten line from the 1973 song Frozen Love which read: “And if you go forward…”

Lindsey then shared a near-identical post with the next line: “I’ll meet you there."

And that's not all because bandmate Mick Fleetwood went on to share a video of himself listening to the track, which was shared onto the group's Instagram page too.

His post was captioned: "Magic then, magic now." The clip was also shared on the official Fleetwood Mac Instagram page.

Mick, 78, has long been open about his hopes for reconciliation between Stevie and Lindsey, who parted ways professionally in 2018 under tense circumstances. Speaking to Us Weekly, he said: “I always have a fantasy that [Stevie] and Lindsey would pal up a bit more and just say everything’s OK for them both. But we’ve had such an incredible career.”

He had hoped to bring the band back together before the heartbreaking loss of Christine McVie in 2022. Since then, Mick has admitted he’s been searching for a new direction but remains hopeful about returning to the stage in some form next year.

“I miss playing as much as we used to,” he shared. “I’m hoping next year, one way or another, some band somewhere will say, come and play with drums or something.”

While a full Fleetwood Mac reunion remains uncertain, Mick has made it clear that healing between Stevie and Lindsey is what he truly wishes for, whether or not it leads to a tour.

“It’s no secret, it’s no tittle-tattle that there is a brick wall there emotionally,” he told MOJO. “But I’ll say, personally, I would love to see a healing between them—and that doesn’t have to take the shape of a tour, necessarily.”

For now, fans are left to wonder, and hope, that the music might bring them back together once more.
