The court hearing the Gable Tostee murder trial has been adjourned following reports of a juror posting to Instagram.

Other reports say details cannot be reported until they are revealed in open court.

Reporter for 7 News, Vivien von Drehnen, said a verdict had been reached, but has not been delivered.

According to journalists in the courtroom Tostee's family had returned to the room along with members of Wright's family and the police who worked on the case.

The Tostee jury entered its fourth day of deliberations and it's impossible to know what is going on inside the jury room.

But there have been a few clues as to what the 12 ordinary members of the public selected to hear the case have been grappling with.

On Tuesday, they told Justice Byrne they were unable to reach a unanimous verdict, however, he sent them back to the jury room to continue deliberations in a bid to do so.

"Experience has shown juries can often agree if given enough time to consider and discuss the issues," he told them.

Jurors deliberated for an extra 90 minutes late yesterday but at 6pm asked to be sent home and will resume discussions this morning.

They have asked six questions since they began their deliberations on Monday.
