Gisborne Boys’ High School Choral Group goes viral with stunning cover of Ben E. King's 'Stand By Me'

Tūranga Tāne Choral Group from Gisborne Boys’ High School have found online fame after their incredible rendition of Ben E. King's 'Stand By Me' went viral.

The group uploaded their stunning cover to TikTok which quickly won hearts here and around the world.

Made up of 20 members - which includes everyone from Rockquest competitors to kapa haka performers to rugby players - the boys blew everyone away with their powerful voices.

The video has since clocked up more than 800,000 views.

It also earned them an appearance on Australia's Today show and on New Zealand's The Project.

Tūranga Tāne Choral Group from Gisborne Boys High School is open to anyone - as long as you love harmonies.
