Prince Louis' christening service

The first we saw of Prince Louis after his service was in his mother's arms as she carried him home whilst smiling ear to ear.

 

A select group of family and friends attended the intimate service at Chapel Royal at St James's Palace in London.

Kate was joined by the rest of the family as the left the chapel, with Prince William escorting the two older children out.

This was their first official outing as a family of five.

They then led the small party of guests from the Chapel to Clarence House where they hosted a private afternoon tea.

Prince Louis’ six godparents and family members including Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Michael and Carole Middleton, and James and Pippa Matthews were present at the service.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were noticeably absent from the service due to a very busy schedule.
