John Mellencamp and Bruce Springsteen both have discographies stretching back to the '70s and have previously collaborated onstage, but only now have they recorded in the studio together.
As a teaser of Mellencamp's upcoming 25th studio album, the music legends released their first ever duet called 'Wasted Days.'
The acoustic-led track sees the singers trade off verses, before coming together for a powerful chorus.
While a mournful song, it also carries an important message about making the most of the years, months and minutes we've got left.
Mellencamp's album is expected to be released in 2022.
