John Travolta has led the celebrity tributes to Olivia Newton-John following the tragic news that she passed away, aged 73, today after a 30-year battle with breast cancer.

Taking to his social media, the 68-year-old actor posted an emotional tribute to "his Sandy," noting his Grease costar's "incredible" impact on the world.

"My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better," Travolta wrote alongside a photo of her.

"Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again.

He concluded: "Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!"

Newton-John died Monday morning at her ranch in Southern California, where she was surrounded by family and friends.

Travolta — whose wife Kelly Preston also died of breast cancer in 2020 — and Newton-John remained close over the years since starring in 1978's Grease as iconic lovebirds Danny and Sandy.

Olivia Newton-John is survived by her husband, John Easterling and her daughter, Chloe, from her first marriage to Matt Lattanzi.
