Keith Urban pays sweet tribute to Adele in Las Vegas with country cover of 'Easy On Me'

Keith Urban is currently covering Adele's residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

And now as a sweet tribute to the legendary British singer-songwriter, he's covered one of her hits.

Taking to the stage at The Colosseum, the Kiwi musician belted out a country cover of 'Easy on Me', accompanied only by his acoustic guitar.

"I would like to make a special dedication tonight, to somebody I just absolutely adore as a performer, as a songwriter, a trailblazer," Urban told the audience.

"And I'm looking forward to seeing her when the time comes."

Adele was embroiled in controversy earlier this year when she postponed her highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency just one day before it was due to begin on Friday 21 January.

Fortunately, the 54-year-old country music star stepped in to aid the situation.

There is no word on when Adele plans to reschedule the residency.
