Kelly Clarkson belts out powerful live cover of Soft Cell's 'Tainted Love'

She's done it again!

Kicking off yesterday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the American Idol winner paid tribute to Soft Cell with a powerful cover of their hit 'Tainted Love.'

For her rendition, the 39-year-old singer put her own spin on the '80s classic - throwing in those high notes as per usual.

'Tainted Love' was originally recorded by Gloria Jones in 1964.

It attained worldwide fame after being covered and reworked by the British synthpop duo in 1981.

The song reached number one on the UK Singles Chart and was the best-selling single of 1981 in the UK.
