Lady Survives 3 Days On Roadside After Giving Birth

A Californian woman survived 3 days stranded in the forest after running out of petrol on a back road with no cellphone service. 

Nine-month-pregnant Amber Pangborn was having contractions early on Thursday Morning when she get in the car to drive to her parents' house for help. 

While driving to her parents house she ran out of petrol and found herself stranded on the side of the road, with no cell phone service, going into labour. 

Amber gave birth to her daughter on her own around 5am Thursday morning. 

She was stranded for three days, facing bees and mosquitoes surviving only on four apples and a small amout of water. 

On Saturday she managed to start a signal fire hoping to attract attention. Its very dry in California this time of year and the fire quickly began  to spread. A California fire helicopter discovered the pair a couple of hours after starting the fire and sent a rescue team from the Forestry Department. 

They were taken to the nearest hospital. Both Amber and her new-born daughter are doing well considering a rocky start to life.
