Is Meghan Markle putting on a British accent? 

American gossip columns have been crying out that since Meghan Markle has started public engagements after her marriage to Prince Harry, her accent has changed to become more 'British'. 

Americans, of course, love the thought of 'their princess' taking etiquette and lessons in being 'posh', but it's probably much less of a priority in the royal household nowadays.

Brits watching the Duchess of Sussex's interviews, on the other hand, are likely to have her a possibly slight clipped Californian accent - at most. 

As the Daily Telegraph of the UK potentially correctly pointed out: "she's an actress, and probably can't help picking up accents".
