Congratulations are in order for Nanogirl Dr Michelle Dickinson ...

The nanotechnologist and engineer has announced she is pregnant with twins!

Taking to social media, Dickinson shared the exciting news with her fans.

Alongside a picture of herself and her husband Joe Davis taken for Woman's Day magazine, she wrote: "Thanks @womansdaynz for helping us to share our exciting news - we’re having Twins! Full story of the very long, science-filled journey it’s been to get here in this week's issue.

"@joepfdavis and I are delighted to be welcoming two new family members in a couple of months ... Dedicated to all of you who are trying for babies, but whose positive pregnancy tests haven’t yet ended up with the positive outcome you dreamed of 🤗."

The joyful news comes after the couple tried for many years to start a family.

Together, they went through six years of intense fertility treatments, which sadly included several failed IVF cycles and miscarriages.
