Prince Philip has recently found himself in a lot of hot water and Piers Morgan has just added to this.

The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a collision with a member of the public late last week in which the Land Rover that he was driving ended up on its side.

Since then, a passenger of the Kia that collided with the Duke's SUV has revealed that no one from the palace has even made contact with her.

Just yesterday, Piers Morgan spoke about his run-in with the 97-year-old Duke in a column that was published to the Daily Mail.

"Prince Philip is the rudest human being I have ever met," Morgan begins.

The two met at Buckingham Palace 20 years ago, while at a celebration of Prince Charles' 50th birthday.

After Prince Philip refused to shake Piers' hand, the columnist described him as "breathtakingly offhand."

"Who are you?" Prince Philip "barked menacingly," Piers then revealed that he was among the tabloid journalists at the event.

Philip then stared with "open-mouthed disgust and revulsion," before turning around without saying anything and walking away.

Though Piers understood the reasoning behind Philip's disgust, he couldn't get over how the Duke was prepared to be rude to someone that was invited to his son's birthday.
