Pink has teamed up with Dave Grohl to kick off the New Year in the best way she knows how ...

Taking centre stage at the Largo club in Los Angeles, the pop star showed off her powerhouse vocals with a rocking rendition of her 2001 party song, 'Get the Party Started.'

Compared to Pink's usual acrobatic arena show, the performance was much more minimalist, with her vocals accompanied only by the Foo Fighter frontman's drums and a keyboard, as well as some background singers, including actor Jack Black.

The performance marks the second time the pair have rocked out together.

Last year Pink and Grohl were joined by Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor to pay tribute to the Foo Fighter's late drummer, Taylor Hawkins, with a cover of his favourite song, 'Somebody To Love.'

Hawkins died in March aged 50 after being found unresponsive in his Colombia hotel room during the Foo Fighters' South American leg of their global tour.
