Prince Harry shares sweet message to Meghan Markle on her birthday

Yesterday, the Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 38th birthday ... and wow what a whirlwind of a year she's had since her last birthday!

Overnight, Prince Harry shared a heartwarming post on Instagram in honour of his wife and her special day.

Alongside a photo of his wife wearing a blue Veronica Beard dress during their official trip to Tonga last October, the 34-year-old royal wrote: "Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure! - Love, H."

Harry's sweet message was the first in a series of royal well-wishers.

The new mum's brother-in-law Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton also took to social media to share their own birthday post, writing: "Wishing a very happy birthday to the Duchess of Sussex today!"

The Cambridge's wrote the message alongside a photo of themselves with the Sussexes walking together at the 2018 Christmas service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.

Meghan was expected to spend her latest birthday at home with Harry.

Beyond family celebrations at home, the Queen is expected to throw a birthday tea for Markle when she visits Her Majesty at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are presumed to be travelling to Balmoral where they will be given their own wing during their stay.

"It is a testament to Meghan that she has been given this invite. It's a huge honour," the source said.

"They will celebrate Meghan's birthday, and the catering team will bake a cake to mark the occasion."
