Daphne Dunne, who won the heart of Prince Harry on a number of royal tours to Australia has passed away at the age of 99.

Australia's Channel 7 reported that Dunne had been in hospital suffering from pneumonia for two months when she passed away.

Her passing comes shortly after the Duke and Duchess sent a letter to Dunne congratulating her on turning 99.

Dunne has always made it out to meet Prince Harry on his visits to Australia. When Prince Harry took Meghan Down Under last year, he introduced Daphne to her.

According to Dunne, Meghan told her: "I'm so happy to finally meet you, I've heard so much about you."

After a brief chat, the Duchess apparently told Dunne: "Hopefully the next time we see you we'll have our little one with us."
