There's no denying Prince Louis stole the show at Trooping the Colour as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

And now it's been revealed the four-year-old royal was also paying a sweet tribute to his dad, Prince William, during the event.

For his first official appearance, the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wore a cute sailor's outfit which his dad also wore to the same event in 1985.

The Duke of Cambridge, who was just two years old at the time, was photographed wearing the nautical look on the balcony at Buckingham Palace.

Prince George also previously wore one of his father's outfits to Trooping The Colour in 2015.

Royal children wearing sailor suits dates is a long tradition that can date back to Queen Victoria's son, King Edward VII.
