The Princess of Wale's brother has opened up about the troubles that the family has had with keeping Diana's tomb secure since her death.

According to Earl Spencer, there have been four attempted break-ins over the past 20 years.

He added that the family decided to bury the late princess on the island at their estate to protect her privacy, and not overrun the local town with paparazzi.

It hasn't always been peaceful on the estate either, as he added "we've had four attempted break-ins towards her body in the last 20 years. I'm very glad we've seen them all off".

He then added that the palace had lied to him following Diana's funeral as the boys never wanted to walk behind her coffin.

He was a "passionate advocate" against having them following her, and thought the decision was "bizarre" and "cruel".

Prince Harry also weighed in on the matter recently, saying that "I don’t think any child should be asked to do that, under any circumstances. I don’t think it would happen today.”

Certainly a horrible thing for two young boys to have to endure after their mother's death.
