As a large crowd of family, friends and public mourners gathered yesterday for the memorial service of Lisa Marie Presley, it was revealed she became a grandmother just before her passing.

Riley Keough's husband Ben Smith-Petersen shared the news at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, as he read out a tribute on behalf of his wife.

"Thank you for showing me love is the only thing that matters in this life. I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me, the way you loved my brother and my sisters," Smith-Petersen said of his mother-in-law as he read the words of his wife.

"Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humour, my manners, my temper, my wildness, my tenacity."

"I'm a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart."

Smith-Petersen, who wed Keough in 2015, didn’t elaborate further on when their daughter was born or reveal her name, however, a rep for the 33-year-old actress later confirmed the couple welcomed the baby girl in 2022.

The little one was the only grandchild of Lisa Marie, who passed away at the age of 54.

Lisa Marie – the only child of the late Elvis Presley and his wife, Priscilla Presley – died on January 12 after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital for a possible cardiac arrest.

Lisa Marie's final resting place is at Graceland in its Meditation Garden beside her father, as well as her paternal grandparents, Vernon and Gladys Presley, great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley, and her father's twin brother, Jessie Presley, who died at birth.

Her son Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in 2020 at the age of 27, is also buried there.
