Sir Rod Stewart was joined by a very special companion when he headed to the O2 arena on Tuesday to rehearse for yesterday's Brit Awards ...

The legendary pop star, who closed the show with a stunning performance of 'I Don't Want To Talk About It', was snapped in the back of his car with his beloved pet pooch, Lily.

Taking to Instagram, the 'Maggie May' hitmaker’s wife Penny Lancaster shared a picture of the pair with her 95,300 followers.

In the snap, Rod - who celebrated his 75th birthday on Friday 10 January - can be seen dressed in a three-piece black suit, sat in the back of a luxury car.

Labradoodle Lily is perched beside him.
