Rod has previously spoken about his two loves in life, singing, and football - so it only makes sense that he's up in arms over this predicament.

The superstar singer has been left with a sour taste in his mouth after the manager of his football team decided to leave while Rod was on holiday.

The Celtic manager Brendan Rogers was given the all clear to pursue the vacant manager position over at Leicester City and is starting there this week.

This news came as a massive disappointment for Rod who hit out at Rogers for leaving his club in the lurch.

Talking to talkSPORT about the predicament, Rod explained that his club was in a great position before Rogers decided to leave.

“I would have thought he would see out the next two-and-a-half months to get us the treble Treble if possible.

“I think there might be a lot of ill feeling now with the fans feeling he has left us in the lurch.

“But I also understand the point that this job came up and he’s got to take it. But what about the Chelsea job – that could have come up too.

“We can make history. I keep saying that – we can make history!

“I just feel this will cause a lot of unhappiness with Celtic supporters. Hopefully Scott Brown will step up now and take command.”
