She didn't see her father for decades, and has had to overcome drug addiction to revive her relationship with her superstar father.

Sarah Streeter, Rod's oldest daughter, was given up for adoption back in the '60s when Rod and his teenage girlfriend Susannah Boffey decided to give her up.

It wasn't until Sarah was 18 that she discovered that Rod was her biological father.

They made contact, but soon lost it again after Sarah fell into a drug and alcohol dependence cycle.

In an interview, Sarah has revealed that their relationship is now better than ever: “Our relationship has evolved a lot in the last few years. It’s taken its time because he’s not just my dad, is he?

“He’s a big star. So, of course, that makes it difficult.

“But over the years it has become much more relaxed and now he’s just Dad to me.

“You can’t get away from the fact that he’s Rod Stewart, the star, but when we’re together I put that at the back of my mind.”
