On Graduation Day at T. Wingate Andrews High School in North Carolina, principal Marcus Gause turned to Whitney Houston to help him tell his students how he felt about them.

Surprising the seniors who were graduating, Gause said goodbye by belting out the lyrics to 'I Will Always Love You.'

Unsurprisingly, the impressive a cappella rendition of the vocally tricky song was met with cheers and applauds from the graduates.

Speaking to ABC News about the performance, Gause said that he was nervous because the song has been performed by musical icons like Whitney Houston and Dolly Parton, "but the lyrics were really what I was trying to portray to my students."

Gause added: "One of the things that the pandemic has really taught us is that we need more love. The students know that we love and care for them."

How special!
