Two of the biggest names in global entertainment have seized the chance to reconnect in Christchurch while on separate tours.
Sir Cliff Richard and Priscilla Presley were seen having a drink together in the Christchurch city centre on Tuesday before both their shows.
Richard shared a photo of the pair on social media, describing it as a “gorgeous evening”.
“Gosh, what opportunities in New Zealand,” the post read.
“This time I met up with Priscilla Presley in Christchurch, NZ.
“What a gorgeous evening spent together, I cherish those moments – they light up my life.”
Sir Cliff has brought his Can’t Stop Me Now tour to the Christchurch Town Hall, more than 12 years after he last performed for Kiwi audiences in 2013.
The 85-year-old British singer and actor has sold in excess of 250 million records worldwide, securing his place among the best-selling artists of all time.
He remains the only artist to achieve top-five albums across eight consecutive decades in Britain and in 1995 became the first pop star to receive a knighthood, which he received for his philanthropic endeavours.
Just down the road, Priscilla was at the Isaac Theatre Royal for her An Evening with Priscilla Presley, Life After Elvis tour.
The show offers a raw insight into her time at Graceland, her marriage to the King of Rock and Roll and her journey after separating from him in 1973.
It is the first time the 80-year-old New York native has come to New Zealand for a show of her own.
