Sir Cliff Richard has performed an emotional tribute to his good friend Olivia Newton-John, six months on from her death at the age of 73.

Taking to the stage for a special televised broadcast, the 'Devil Woman' hitmaker gave a moving speech about the last months of his friendship with the Grease star, before launching into an incredible reenacted duet of their hit song 'Suddenly'.

Using footage from the duo singing in the early '80s and from a performance they gave in 2015 to celebrate Richard's 75th birthday at the Royal Albert Hall, they were reunited on stage once again to perform the song that bonded the pair.

Older footage of Newton-John was also played, including moments between the two stars when they first met in the 1970s.

The musicians had a close relationship since they first met, with the legendary singer previously describing her as his "soulmate" when writing in his memoir.
