Sir Rod Stewart was joined by a trio of superstars during his performance at Glastonbury in the festival's legendary Legends Slot.

Sir Rod performed alongside his former Faces band member Ronnie Wood, Simply Red's Mick Hucknall, and Scottish singer Lulu.

Rod began his performance with his 1981 single, Tonight I’m Yours (Don’t Hurt Me), after being welcomed on stage to the sound of bagpipes.

The first star welcomed to the stage was Mick Hucknall for a rendition of Simply Red's hit cover of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’ If You Don’t Know Me By Now.

Rod then performed Faces' 1971 hit Stay With Me while Rolling Stones star Ronnie played guitar. Scottish singer Lulu sang Hot Legs with Rod.

"I’m here, enjoy yourselves ladies and gentleman, please, music brings us together, we need music", he told the large crowd.

Sir Rod also performed Some Guys Have All The Luck, Forever Young, The First Cut Is The Deepest, and Maggie May.

The Legends Slot has become a Glastonbury tradition, reserved for the true greats, and Rod Stewart has more than earned his place among them. Dressed to impress and full of energy, Rod reminded us all why he’s one of the most beloved entertainers of our time.
