Afghanistan takes on the Black Caps today having held its own in the tournament so far, after beating Scotland earlier in pool play.

They're now allowed to approach full member nations to arrange international fixtures, and coach Andy Moles says they hope other countries have taken note.

"It'd be nice if we could add on to a series somewhere and make it a tri series where we can pick up the opportunities to compete against the better sides.

"We are talking to four or five countries who have shown interest."

Play is scheduled to start in Napier at 11am.
