Evans banded for spitting

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse and Manchester United defender Jonny Evans have been handed bans for spitting at each other.

Cisse's copped a seven-week suspension while Evans will miss six weeks of football.

The punishments come after an incident between the pair in the first half of Manchester United's 1-0 win over Newcastle earlier in the week.

Evans contested the charge but was found guilty.

Cisse's copped a longer ban because of a previous suspension for elbowing.
