Sir John Kirwan: I'm not going anywhere

An emphatic statement from Blues coach Sir John Kirwan about his future.

The Blues have lost four matches to start the Super Rugby season and face the daunting task of playing the Hurricanes, Waratahs, Chiefs and Brumbies all away in the next five rounds.

Kirwan says he expects a contract extension at the end of the season.

"Course I would. I'm here for the long haul, that's what I've said.

"These things can't turn around in a day, things like this. Understandably people want results and I get that."

Kirwan says even if the results continue their downward trend he would not walk.
