Team New Zealand boss Grant Dalton has walked away from a high-speed motorcycle crash at the famed Isle of Man circuit, according to reports.

The Isle of Man website is reporting that Dalton came off during a Superbike session but was unhurt.

According to Fairfax, the 60-year-old was travelling at 160-177km/h at the time of the crash.

"I'd just cranked into a corner up at a place called The Verandah and the bike seized and just fired me off the road," Dalton told Fairfax.

Dalton is a long-time motor racing enthusiast and first raced the Isle of Man course in 2015.

The Snaefell Mountain Course circuit on the Isle of Man is known as one of the most dangerous motor-racing tracks in the world.

Between 1907 and 2017 there have been 255 rider competitor fatalities during official practices or races on the course. Last year five riders died during official practices or races.
