As Stevie Nicks launched her Two Icons, One Night co-headline tour with Billie Joel at the So-Fi Stadium in California over the weekend, Christine McVie was with her in spirit.

Taking to the stage at the end of the show, the Fleetwood Mac legend dedicated her 1975 anthem 'Landslide' to her late bandmate - who passed away, aged 79, after a short illness.

The gig marked the 74-year-old singer's first performance since McVie's death in November 2022.

As the 16-track set reached its finale, Nicks performed the heartfelt single as photos of her best friend were shown on the big screen behind her.

At the end of the track, Nicks bowed her head into her microphone and took a moment to compose herself.

She then admitted tearfully: "There's really not much to say. We just pretend that she's still here, that's how I'm trying to deal with it."

The surviving members of the band - made up of Nicks, Mick Fleetwood and former bandmate Lindsey Buckingham - attended McVie's memorial service, which took place on Monday 9 January in Malibu, California.

As well as working with Fleetwood Mac, McVie also released three solo albums.

In 1998, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac.

McVie died in hospital, where she was surrounded by family and friends.
