The Chase's Anne Hegerty reveals a surprising detail about how she plays the quiz show

While she's usually the unstoppable quiz titan on the hit series The Chase, Anne Hegerty dropped a bombshell that may surprise some viewers!

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, "the Governess" joined Lorraine Kelly to talk about how she was doing during the UK's lockdown.

While the pair originally discussed keeping busy during the lockdown with cooking, DIY and gardening, the conversation quickly moved onto The Chase.

Curious about her tricks of the trade, Lorraine probed: "I imagine at the moment you just have to keep up with everything and you must have this photographic memory because very rarely are you stumped for an answer."

The comment made the 62-year-old Chaser laugh before she revealed exactly how she comes up with her answers on the show.

She replied: "Oh I'm stumped for an answer more often than you might think.

"You have no idea how often I am guessing for the right answer."
