It was a story that took the world by storm ...

And now we've had our first look at director Ron Howard's upcoming survival film, Thirteen Lives, which is based on the 2018 Thailand cave rescue mission.

Launching globally on Prime Video on August 5, the film recounts the incredible true story that saw twelve boys and their football coach rescued from the Tham Luang cave after an unexpected rainstorm.

Faced with insurmountable odds, a team of the world's most skilled and experienced divers – uniquely able to navigate the maze of flooded, narrow cave tunnels – joined with Thai forces and more than 10,000 volunteers to attempt the harrowing rescue.

With impossibly high stakes and the entire world watching, the group embarked on their most challenging dive yet, showcasing the limitlessness of the human spirit in the process.

Thirteen Lives features a star-studded cast as the members of the rescue team, including Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell.
