The Queen's granddaughter Lady Louise pays moving tribute to Prince Philip during Jubilee celebration

During yesterday's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, a proud Queen Elizabeth II watched her youngest granddaughter pay an emotional tribute to her late beloved husband, Prince Philip.

Lady Louise Windsor - daughter of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie - led a carriage display marking the centenary of the Fell Pony Society at the Royal Windsor Horse Show by driving the Duke of Edinburgh's carriage around the arena.

Her Majesty's granddaughter completed a full lap and was followed by some of the Queen's most beautiful and valuable carriages - including the golden state coach used on her coronation day.

The carriage parade was then followed by some of the Queen's most beloved horses, including her fell ponies.

It was a poignant moment for the monarch, as 18-year-old Lady Louise was taught everything she knows about carriage driving from her grandfather.

Since the 1970s, carriage driving was one of the Duke of Edinburgh's favourite pastimes. He raced carriages near Norfolk before representing Britain at several European and world championships.

Philip passed away peacefully at his home Windsor Castle on April 9, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving behind four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
