It is quite possibly the world's strangest wedding and it is definitely the world's first robot wedding. Trust Japan to be ahead of the 8-ball when it comes to technology.

The groom Frois and bride Yukirin walked the aisle, wore traditional outfits and even had a 'first kiss'

Special invitations were made, which featured a picture of the two robots inset in a heart
As with a normal wedding invites were sent to guests.

The congregation was 100 strong and included other smaller robotic models.
