Tom Cruise stun fans with "unrecognisable" appearance during rare outing with son Connor

Tom Cruise took fans by surprise this week when he stepped out for a baseball game in San Francisco with his son, Connor.

In photos and footage shared online, the 59-year-old happily posed for photos with fans and chatted with the crowd amid the game.

But it wasn't the Mission Impossible star's rare public outing that had people talking ...

Taking to social media, fans couldn't believe how different the Top Gun actor looked from his usual self on screen.

"Am I the only one who thinks this isn't Tom Cruise but just some random dude who looks kind of like him?" one fan queried on Twitter.

"Gonna spend the rest of tonight and all of tomorrow wondering if some random dude convinced the Giants he was Tom Cruise," another joked.

Another chimed in: "Hardly recognised Tom Cruise there."

Tom adopted Connor and his older sister Bella during his 11-year marriage to Nicole Kidman.

While Connor has remained in the US, where he pursues his love of deep-sea fishing in Florida, 28-year-old Bella now lives in Croydon, London, with her husband, Max Parker.
