Kiwi women get your roses at the ready because the popular reality TV series The Bachelorette is coming to New Zealand!

TVNZ has announced today it is looking for the country’s first-ever Bachelorette to be part of the biggest love story on television.

The broadcaster is seeking applications from Kiwi women over the age of 18, who are "ready to find the man of your dreams."

So if you’re a single woman, who's ready to take a chance on love then you can apply on TVNZ's website. 

From romantic dates to cocktail parties and rose ceremonies, TVNZ has promised that the Bachelorette will be joined by some of "New Zealand’s most eligible men" during the adventure of a lifetime.

The series will air on TVNZ 2 and is produced by Warner Bros.

The Bachelor franchise launched 17 years ago in the United States. In the years since, there have been 23 seasons of The Bachelor, 15 seasons of The Bachelorette, three seasons of Bachelor Pad, and five seasons of Bachelor In Paradise, as well as local versions airing in Australia, Germany, Finland, Switzerland and Japan.
