Having to postpone their record-setting Rhapsody tour following Covid-19 announcements, Queen and Adam Lambert have been doing their best to raise funds for those worst affected.

The band is at it again with an edited version of their 1977 smash, 'We Are The Champions'.

Changing the lyrics slightly to 'You Are The Champions' and accompanied with a music video, the band are continuing to celebrate frontline workers whilst trying to raise money for the World Health Organisation.

Guitarist Brian May, Adam Lambert and Drummer Roger Taylor came up with the idea during a virtual jam session this month.

Roger Taylor's daughter, Dr Rory Taylor, who features in the video, is a key NHS worker in the UK.

May said: “It seems to me we should dedicate this one to all the frontline soldiers fighting for humanity against the insurgent coronavirus.

“Just like our parents, grandparents and great grandparents who fought for us in two world wars, those brave warriors in the front line are our new CHAMPIONS.

“That means the doctors, nurses, cleaners, porters, drivers, tea ladies and gentlemen, and all who are quietly risking their lives daily to save the lives of our kin. CHAMPIONS ALL!!!”

Money raised from the single will go to the World Health Organisation’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund, supported by the United Nations Foundation.
