When they stepped out in their finery to celebrate her second daughter's christening on Friday, Sweden's Princess Madeleine and her brood looked every inch the perfect family.

But footage from inside the ceremony reveals how the glamorous Princess' oldest child, Leonore, is no different to any other four-year-old - as she's seen rolling barefoot in the church aisle having apparently grown restless during the mass.

Cameras captured the adorable blonde princess lolling flat on her back with her legs in the air as the ceremony to mark the arrival of her baby sister, Princess Adrienne, presided over by Archbishop Antje Jackelén, rumbled on.

Her financier father, Christopher O'Neil, appears frozen in indecision in the clip as his daughter playfully rolls around directly in front of the altar, while her mother - occupied by holding baby Adrienne, has to settle for throwing a sharp look in their direction.

The comical footage was shared on Instagram by a royal fan who added the caption: 'This is amazing'.

Princess Adrienne is the third child for Princess Madeleine and her husband Christopher O'Neil, who are also parents to four-year-old Leonore and two-year-old Nicolas.

The wider Swedish royal family descended on Drottningholm Palace Chapel, outside Stockholm, on Friday for her lavish Christening ceremony.

Princess Leonore, who looked adorable in a white dress embroidered with daisies, with a matching daisy clip in her hair, had previously drawn attention outside the chapel by forgoing shoes as she strode across the gravel in the sunshine accompanied by her glamorous parents.

It's not the first time the playful little girl has stolen the limelight.

In the summer of 2016 she visited stables in Gotland with her parents and was snapped giggling as she scampered out of their grasp, prompting Princess Madeleine to give chase and scoop up her rascal daughter.

Madeleine, 35, was among the first arrivals for the christening on Friday, while her older sister Crown Princess Victoria was spotted making her way to the opulent Drottningholm Palace Chapel, near Stockholm, in a private car.

The proud mother of three wore a £1,735 Giambattista Valli floral dress for the spectacular ceremony, teamed with a traditional flower crown.

The couple were joined by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia along with their respective children.

Also present were godparents Anouska d'Abo, Coralie Charriol Paul, Nader Panahpour, Gustav Thott, Charlotte Kreuger Cederlund and Natalie Werner - along with officiants Chief Court Chaplain Bishop Johan Dalman and Pastor of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen.
