Mother Nature is still not relenting following yesterday morning's devastating 7.5 quake that claimed the lives of two people.Â
Canterbury has been reported to have declared a state of emergency, whilst Wellington is in the midst of an unforgiving storm, and are dealing with continual aftershocks. Â
Two strong aftershocks have rattled the top of the South Island around 2.30pm today.
A 5.9 magnitude shock hit 30km north-east of Kaikoura, and, only a minute later, a 5.7 shock struck 20km south-east of Seddon.
Trains in Wellington are suspended following the severe aftershocks, which is only adding to the transportation nightmare as State Highways 1 and 2 have been closed due to flooding in the capital.Â

Emergency services are responding to a landslide in Wellington that is also thanks to the wild weather. Â
