What a wonderful story to come out of the Victoria bushfire...
This lucky koala, nicknamed Constable K. Bear, was saved by compassionate firefighters battling a bushfire along the Victorian coast.
CFA (Country Fire Authority)Â members fighting the 2200-hectare Jamieson Track blaze found the koala lying unconscious by the side of the road.
They brought the animal back to their station and Victoria Police then took over the koala's wellbeing, hand-feeding her water and gum leaves until she felt better.
